Can all pieces move on or over the central square?
Yes. By doing so some of them (guards and warlords) can prevent a King from conquering the Central Square.
Can captured pieces be brought back into play?
Yes, by means of enchanting.
Can enchanting always take place?
If a King or a mage (sorcerer) is aiming to enchant a piece, but that piece is not available in the own color (either from the pieces in reserve or the newly captured pieces), the enchanting cannot take place.
Can the game end in a draw?
Yes, this might or is even likely to happen when there are no more warlords in the game.
About the exception rule...
If the King is the last piece standing, he is allowed to capture guards and warlords. However, if the King enchants a new mage (sorcerer), he is no longer the last piece standing and thus (temporarily) loses the right to capture pieces. Until he's the last one, again...
The Malki game
The basic game is played with 2 or 4. The game for advanced players can be played with 2, 3 or 4 players. The Malki game is best served... with 4 colors.
The first to conquer the center of the board with his King wins the game. Each player disposes of 9 pieces on the board (and 4 spare pieces), representing the guards, the warlords, the mage (sorcerer) & the King.
Malki is a game of magic that reveals more and more of its depth as you play it. Just mind-marvelling.
